What We Believe

Grace United Methodist Church is part of the United Methodist Church — the second largest Protestant denomination in the United States. We hold to the following affirmations:

We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the forgiveness of sins and new life in Christ.

We believe in the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.

We believe that we are part of the United Methodist connection — a global community of faith.

We believe baptism is a sign of God's grace and an entry into the community of faith.

We believe communion is an act of remembrance and spiritual nourishment open to all.

We believe in God's coming kingdom of justice, peace, and love.

We believe the Scriptures are authoritative and sufficient for salvation.
